Premove

Hi,

I must say that I'm impressed by all the feature this website offer. being a developper myself, I can only imagine the ammount of work it takes.

I've been playing turn-based games for about two weeks now. I really like  the conditional moves, which is great for forced continuation.

However, in some cases, there are a lot of variation who leads to the same continuation.

that's kinda annpying when playing 20 simultanous games, to spend 15mn filling all the conditional moves.

That lead us to my suggestions : Premoves. Like conditional moves, these moves can be set while it's the opponent turn but will be played whatever the opponent's answer. unless it's an illegal move, of course.

That is sort of a good idea. What if your opponent plans a checkmate? I prefer to see what move my opponent plays then find the best response.

there are premoves on live games so i don't understand why there couldn't be premoves on turn-based games.

however, i agree with chessbeginner77. i don't like using premoves because i much rather see what move my opponent makes before committing to one of my own. conditional moves are much safer. i rarely use premoves in live chess. only in time crunches and i still feel like i'm taking a big risk.

that being said, there was a suggestion a while back that asked if we could create a way to input all our openings as preset conditional moves so we wouldn't have to waste time playing them again and again. i really liked that idea.
