Site problems

The site seems to have been having a lot of problems over the past couple days in loading avatars and in some cases the game pieces.

Today the site is extremely slow in loading and the avatars and games pieces take forever to load if they load.

Hopefully this is known by the admin and they are working on it.

Today it seemed better, yesterday it was terrible...

I'm also having problems with the "Insert/edit image" utility when posting in the forums.  I can still upload an image, but when I try to insert it in a post, nothing happens.

yes - we had some server issues yesterday. and yes, now we are having problems with inserting images. not sure what it is. should be fixed with next week's big code release...

Still very slow to reload the board after a move in turn based chess this morning. Sometimes I have to hit the reload key in my browser..

I hope they are still working on the servers or software or whatever has changed in the last week or so, because intermittently, I feel like I have a dial-up modem when I am on this site, playing live chess, when in actuality I have a DSL line. 

we are actually still working on some improvements. they intermittently affect performance. should be done with them very soon!

Whenever I try to play the computer on here, it says "Fatal error."
