Site refuses to give me white
seriously, i'm under the impression that if you send out a specific challenge to someone you can request a specific color. and if you make the challenge unrated, you can select the color you want before issuing the challenge.

That's exactly what I did, but I still got black every time. I just managed to get a game in as white after I posted this thread, but I'm thinking that was more of a result of the computer just picking colors randomly, therefore eventually giving me white because of the law of numbers.

then i guess i was correct with my first response.
If you flip a coin 20 times there's a good chance you'll see a streak of either 3 heads or 3 tails somewhere in there.
So I just had to abort about half a dozen unrated blitz games. I had an opening I wanted to practice with as white, and I chose to play as white every time...and every time it gave me black.
