That is what the trainer is for. Recogonizing positions and capitalizing. In an actual game they won't say anything about a mate or piece capture or anything like that. That is something you have to learn.

Ok so assuming an uneducated is a blind man and a learned is a seeing man
Is it better to have the blind man feel positions then tell them what this position is first (because he can't see) then just have him feel something then just have him guess and guess and guess....
That's not teaching that's telling somebody to walk without them knowing what walking is or looks like?!
I always get rolling on the tactics trainer but then after a while I lose my vibe and my ratings (which might have gone up 100 points) go right back down to before. I just see so many different things I could do...
Wouldn't it benefit if they added an "objective" panel to train you what you're looking for (and give it a slight reduction in rating gain if used) so if you don't see what they're trying to have you see that you get hints.
Sometimes I see a good mate in how many moves but the trainer obviously thinks I'm going through moves to get the queen instead of getting the mate. I just don't get some of it.
