Timed games

Suggestion:

Offer an option to claim a time-elapsed game win or not.

If I'm playing a friend, and we both know we are hard at work occassionally, we both don't mind forgiving time-lapsed moves.  In fact, in correspondence chess, isn't it expected that moves may take longer sometimes?

For those games that are a little more serious, or live games, the existing mechanism works great.

there is such an option already:

I think he means for specific games only. That option turns it on/off for everything, no?

Dragec

Yes, I'm afraid it is on/off for everything Frown

Time isn't important in online chess, if a person times out it's not because they were thinking about the position for too long.

Have a heart and turn it off.

Ah thanks for noting that setting - I'm turning it off, and I propose that it should be off by default in general!
