great suggestions. they are on the future wishlist
two suggestions for making chess.com even better
In addition to categorization, I would suggest a continuation feature in the tactics trainer, and perhaps the ability to comment on tactics. Both these features [...] add significantly to the educational value.
Good suggestions. I'd like menu options to see subsets of the game explorer games for ratings like 2000+, 2400+, 2600+, etc.
I also wish the game explorer could just update part of the page when you change positions too. A certain other site with tempo in its name has a game explorer that has the rating options and also updates without doing a full page load every time you select a move, so it's faster to use (and more convenient too, since if you've scrolled down a little in the page, the whole page doesn't jump when you load the new page, only the parts that need to be updated are actually updated).
1. Ability to see all online chess.com games in the Game Explorer and be able to filter them by rating. This should not be too hard to implement since you can already view individual players' stats. I think. This will greatly improve the game explorer because there will be more stats on rarer openings that masters don't play. For example: you can see statistics on what lines 2000+ chess.com players played in the Halloween Gambit.
2. Categorization of tactics trainer problems and filtration ability for Tactics Trainer problems. That way somebody who needs to work on specific types of tactics can do so easily without buying a book. For example: You can go to the settings and select only mating attacks, or only endgames, etc.
I apologize in advance if this has already been suggested somewhere. Apparently I didn't see it. And thank you in advance to chess.com staff for considering the addition of these features.
