This would also be helpful when looking at the alert list of topics you are tracking. When it's a long list, it's confusing to keep track of which ones you've read.
Feature Request: Visited Links on Forum Search should be tagged
In the case of alerts: because they are not properly sticky. (See post #13 here http://www.chess.com/forum/view/help-support/alert-issue)
In the case of forum search results: Do a forum search for CONDITIONAL MOVES, and you will get a list of 43 topics. If I want to examine each one in turn to find the one I am really looking for - it's not that easy to keep track of how far down the list I've reached. (Bear in mind that many of the topic names may be the same or very similar.)
It would be helpful if Visited Links were flagged differently from Unvisited Links in the Forum Search results (in keeping with web standards recommendations, that these should be shown in different colours. If you do a Google search, unvisited links are shown in blue; visited links in lilac.)

This is handled correctly when you view your list of Online Chess games. In the status column, visited links are green; unvisited links are grey. (Games where it's My Move! are always shown in red.)
