Hello

If you are not allowed to share ongoing games with people on chess.com then why are you allowed to share them over facebook,

I saw a button that said "Share this game"

surly this isn't allowed

What do you think

Maybe it's just as long as you don't ask for advice.

That's actually a good question, you may not ask for advice, but what prevents people from giving unsolicited advice?

Sure, it can happen here too, but now you are exposing current games to  people who may not be familiar with the rules of this site.

I knew one day I would make a thread that said this.

I also think the button should be removed as it is basically asking for help from other people and that is not allowed one chess.com

I like the share on facebook option.  I haven't used it yet.  I don't know what the work around is about getting advice, but I do look forward to using this option as a vehicle to draw more interest to the site and games in particular.

I still have a lot of friends that haven't joined yet.

Restricting the button to completed games would make sense.  Then there's no issue about soliciting advice and you have a nice quick way to post your finished games: "Look, guys, I beat a GM!" or "OMG, I got caned..." etc.
