This wouldn't help while you're playing a game though; the alerts are not visible when the board is displayed.
Yellow alerts for draw offer notification
I too miss draw offers like this as well... If the chat is enabled I type "I offer a draw" to notify my opponent of my offer....workaround at best..and one sided...

The draw offer can simply be displayed in blinking text - coding of that is very easy
Opponent has offered a draw
These are some great ideas! I hope chess.com is responsive.

a) This solution would not be good for LiveChess - where having to process a draw offer could cause you to run out of time in a scramble.
b) FIDE Laws of Chess has always recognised making a move as rejecting a draw offer ...
10.7 A proposal of a draw under the provisions of Article 10.6 may be made by a player only at the moment when he has just moved a piece. On then proposing a draw, he starts the clock of his opponent. The latter may accept the proposal, which is always to be taken as unconditional, or he may reject it either orally or by completing a move. A draw offer is valid until the opponent has accepted or rejected it.
[The gamesmanship question "Are you playing for a win?" can be considered as an offer of a draw] .
(although chess.com has already departed from FIDE protocol by allowing you to make a draw offer when it's not your move).
c) Missing a draw offer is no big deal. Just make one yourself if you missed your opponent's offer and you want to take it up.

(it won't work in this comments, though)
If a solution is found it likely will not involve blinking.

"Screen flickering and blinking can trigger epileptic seizures in people suffering from photosensitive epilepsy."

I have to disagree that missing a draw offer is no big deal. The game can change by the time you realize a draw was offered.
i have raised this issue before and suggested that the best way to avoid missing draw offers was to make it impossible to play a move until the draw had been accepted or rejected.
I agree. This would be ideal.
Ideal, until you're low on time and your opponent sends you 21 consecutive draw offers causing you to lose on time.
Well, I'm assuming we're only talking turn based here. And it would be easy to limit draws to one offer per move by each player.
I definitely agree that draw offers aren't noticeable enough in turn based. This has been a recurring complaint for as long as chess.com has existed, and it seems to have been completely ignored by the staff.
once in live chess, I offered a draw ,and moments later realized that I had a way to checkmate him in a few moves. I was lucky he didn't see the offer before he moved.
At least make the draw offer a larger font and nearer the board maybe with something to distingush it.
Currently when a draw is offered there is no yellow alert that comes up to notify the player. There is only a message in brown at the top of the page that is easily overlooked, and an email that is sent. The problem is that often the player moves before seeing the message or the email. The yellow alerts are much more effective, and it is quite important for draw offers to be effectively transmitted. So please make the change to yellow alerts for draw offers!
