The tournament page says that 1 person advances per group, and there are no tie breaks. What happens if there's a tie? Thanks!

If you lookk down a bit, you will see a line that says "Tie Breaks No". None are used. In the event of a tie, all the tied players advance.

In the extreme/comic case, if all 12 players timed out on all 132 games, they would each get 11 points and would all advance.

Please report cheaters. I have an obscenely egregious one in my group currently...

Can someone provide a link to this tournament? I'm sure the later rounds will be full of high quality games. Thanks!

Someone in my daily tournament went on vacation. Does the whole tournament pause for that one person? Seems kinda lame

If it is a "No Vacation" tournament, like the 2024 Chess.com Daily Chess Championship, then no. That player's clocks will keep ticking in the tournament.

The fourth round has begun. Cool. It's the first time I've gotten this far. A few years ago I had a titled player (IM) in the third round and he won all the games. Now it was a bit of a lucky break. One player had a tactic of playing extremely slow - he always made a move in the last hour. It's an effective method and got him a few free points. For example, I lost to one player, but he stopped playing at some point and lost all his games. In the end, I was helped by the player who finished in second place and beat that player 2-0, which won the group for me.
