Poet, playwright, read lots of novels in French. I play some chess in some form or other on most days. I am fond of chess of the Capablanca/Alekhine era. When I was younger I was a USCF Class A player, but have not played tournaments in many years. I have beaten three masters five games in my life, including Jude Acers.
