Learned to play chess in my teens and played a lot for a year or two but too much life got in the way. Picked it up again in college for awhile, then again in my thirties, but it never stuck... I've always had too many other interests to really get single-minded about chess. But I also have a habit of going back to the things I've really enjoyed earlier in my life. My interest in chess sparked again awhile back. Now I'm starting over essentially from scratch. Have mercy LOL.
Other interests include gardening, hiking, snowshoeing, reading (Reformed theology, history, Sherlock Holmes), and fountain pens. Married, 2 kids, 1 Yorkie dog. Two grandsons, 5 and 2 1/2.
