I used to play for San Beda, UST and DLSU during my school days.  Nowadays I try to keep sharp by solving puzzles and playing opponents online. I made most of my chess progress without books or a coach, and I try to combine my modern chess background (extensive use of online resources and databases) with the classical approach of Seirawan and Karpov.
