Sherlock Holmes is a fictional private detective created by Scottish author and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Fantastic "detective consultant" of London, Holmes is known for logical reasoning, his ability to disguise and use their forensic skills to solve difficult cases. Sherlock Holmes is probably the most famous fictional detective and certainly one of the most popular and universally recognized literary characters.
