I learned to play chess in elementary school when I was 7. My mom played a little so I played off and on for a few years, eventually dropping it in favor of other hobbies and pursuits. I didn't really get back into playing chess until a few years ago when I was in graduate school. Since then I have read a few books and tried to build up my understanding of the game. I joined chess.com about a 2 years ago and it has been a great resource.
As for me, I live in California with my wife and four beautiful children, ages 9, 7, 5, and 1.
