New Navbar With Updated Search
Note: The new navigation bar has been reverted briefly to address an issue affecting some users and will be available again soon.
Chess.com is pleased to have released a reorganized and more intuitive navigation bar, where everything is where it should be. The changes may look subtle, but we think they will prove to be a major improvement. Here is a comparison of the old and new navbars:
The best part of it all is that you don't need to worry about relearning everything immediately. Not only because features are more intuitively placed inside the navbar itself, but you can also easily find any feature using our search tool. Search for "events," for example, and it comes right up.
If you want things even quicker, search results now pop up instantly too.
On the sidebar itself, you can either click the top-level buttons and go directly to a new landing page such as Chess.com/Learn or Chess.com/Watch, or hover over them and see specific pages which have been reorganized into more natural categories. For instance, news reports and articles are now in the same place under News; streamers can be found, quite logically, under Watch.
The new navbar also marks the end of an era—players will no longer find our Live page there. Although we all shared happy moments in Live, it is finally the time to move on. However, we look into the future with bright eyes and a full heart as the newer and improved Play page is proudly sitting at the peak of its glory inside the Play option.
Play around with the new navbar and we think you'll agree it makes the site easier to navigate than ever before.
