We're excited to announce that you can now keep up with players' rating changes in real time right on our Events page! You can also quickly see players' performance ratings for that event. Learn more about these new features and how to turn them on below!

Tracking Rating Changes

First, let's talk about real rating changes. You can now track a player's rating change based on their results in a specific tournament. You can do that by clicking the player's name.

Click a player's name to see their live ratings

You'll notice that their player card will pop over the right side of your screen. Right below their name, you'll see their current FIDE rating in the event's time control and, right next to it, how much it changed:

Performance Ratings

Right below a player's score, you'll also see their performance rating for that specific event. This number is based on how many games the player has played, their score, and their opponent's ratings.

Turning On Live Ratings For Events

Note that, by default, player cards show players’ published ratings according to FIDE at the start of the tournament and not their live ratings. The good news is that we're also launching a feature that lets you see players' live ratings.

To turn that feature on, go to your Events page settings by entering any game and clicking the cog icon between the h8-square and the side menu. Then turn on the Show Live Ratings option in the Broadcast tab and hit Save.

Now, your Events page will show players' live ratings. Below, you can see the difference between GM Alireza Firouzja's FIDE rating (first image) and live rating (second image) after the 2024 Sinquefield Cup.
