The Polite Society

Indeed, fellow ladies and gentlemen we have here the un-polite, the un-washed, the un-educated in language. But do not despair. In this society only fit and proper gentlemen and gentlewomen are engaged in honourable chess practices. Indeed, we sometimes may not like to shake the hand of one that is un-washed, but a pat with the glove will suffice. Proper manners, proper respect and proper treatment must be upheld at all times in a gents or gentlewomans daily business, even partaking on such trivial but interesting games such as chess. It is paramount that all members engage in this conduct and by joining this society we hope to show decent etiquette to all beings we may encounter and help improve our fellow chess players manners.
