Van TX Chess Club
We start at 6pm on Friday, meeting at:
- Wendy's 133 County Road 314 Unit 100 Van TX
Boards (and possibly clocks) are on loan from Lindale Chess Club and possibly Mineola Chess Club - The Tuesday Knights until we get our own equipment.
The club is run by Nikolaj Kaluderovic and his Van High School Chess Club but is open to other students and other members of the community at large.

Come out to have some good games and snack or eat if desired.
Typical club play is casual; typically you are committed to making a move once you let go.
We want friendly games however so you if you and your opponent agree BEFORE a game starts you can choose to play "touch move", to agree to some takebacks, to play a timed game with a clock, etc. Chess variations such as "duck chess", "atomic chess", "bug house", etc. are all allowed -- it's a public venue and all legal behavior is permissible! -- but may not be encouraged. We strive to improve everyone's regular chess skills, which are often complicated enough!
