Learned to play in the early 70s and played a lot for 3 years. Since then, played in a couple of tournaments in the 80s and a few in the early 90s. Retired now, I have picked up the game again, though without the hope I had 45 years ago of ever becoming a strong player.

In the 90s, my USCF rating reached 1807. In my return to tournament play last year, my performance was awful and my rating dropped to 1686 over several events. It has since started climbing again and is back up to 1712.
