Until becoming active here, I had not played chess since Karpov was still World Champion. I was 2000 Elo back then. Sad to relate, a ghastly mix of age and rustiness has now done its fell work on my abilities. I play Bullet for giggles (blunders and extravagant nonsense aplenty) but am taking Daily fairly seriously.
