I learnt to play chess almost 50 years ago, was rated around 1600-1800 in high school but never had an opportunity to pursue it seriously. While at University I learnt to play bridge and arguably that's where I wasted most of my time in the last 30 years (and also became reasonably good) but in the last few years rediscovered chess and would like to see if I can still get better.
