There is a widespread opinion that girls generally play chess worse than boys. I think girls are quite capable of finding fantastic moves on the chessboard and playing wonderful games. It's just that significantly fewer girls play chess than boys. So it's not a question of intelligence, but simply of dedication to the game of chess.
