Hello! My name is Emmanuel Jimenez from Costa Rica, and I am an International Master pushing for the GM title (2 GM norms). I am the Co-founder of BoostChess.com, an online chess academy. I am the current National Champion of Costa Rica and a proud member of the National Team. With a peak FIDE rating of 2437 and two norms towards my International Grandmaster title, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with others.

For several years, I’ve dedicated myself to teaching chess both in person and online. My students have shown significant progress in their FIDE ratings and overall understanding of the game. I tailor my teaching to each student’s needs, ensuring a personalized approach that focuses on practical chess, game analysis, and strategic improvement.

Coaching Method:

My coaching method depends on the level of play, period of engagement, and interest of the student. Typically, my approach includes:

• Removing errors in the Opening play
• Enhancing Tactical play awareness
• Developing Positional play understanding
• Balancing the use of Tactics and Positional moves
• Improving Endgame skills
• Playing practice games with the student
• Deep analysis of the student's games
• Analysis of my own games to explain the thought process behind every move

• White: Reti Opening, Nimzo-Larsen Attack, Torre Attack, King's Indian Attack.
• Black: Philidor defense, Modern Defense, Owen's Defense, King's Indian Defense, b6 against everything, Sicilian Defense(classical, accelerated dragon and najdorf)
